Sunday Social! Taking it Way Back!
Hi Everyone!
Yay! it's time for another Sunday Social and this week's is definitely a fun one.. I love taking a trip down memory lane :) Let's get started!
This week's questions:
1. Biggest Middle school fashion mistake: if I remember correctly, it was wearing highwater pants.. it was awful.. I mean what was I thinking?! lol
2. Who were your best friends in hs? Pics? i had 4 besties in high school but can't find pictures of the other one so here are the two that I could find :)
3. What was a typical weekend like for you in hs? well, I wasn't really allowed to go out too much but when I was able to usually it was to go to the movies on friday or saturday night or to go over to a friend's house.
4. Did you have any boyfriends/girlfriends? I had a few boyfriends throughout high school and one serious boyfriend and I dated him for 6 months. I do have pictures but I don't want to post them because I don't talk to him anymore and I want to respect his privacy :)
5. Did you have any secret codes with your friends? i don't remember having any secret codes however we did have secret notebooks that we would write to each other in during class and then pass them along between periods. they were in just regular 1 subject notebooks so no one knew that they were any different than having a notebook for class :) it was awesome!
6. If you could relive one day/moment/experience from middle school or high school, what would it be? if I could relive one day I think it would be sophomore homecoming dance. it was one of the best experiences of high school and I wouldn't change anything about it. I had so much fun buying the dress and getting ready and it was just amazing :) I wish I had pictures to show :( but they are all at my mom's house :(
I really enjoyed doing today's Sunday Social and looking through old pictures! It was so much fun :) I can't wait to read other's Sunday Socials!

Hi Everyone!
I'm so excited to be back at it after missing last week :) We are finally getting all settled in our new apartment and things are slowly but surely coming together! but anywho.. let's get started!
reading: I'm still working on the Magic After Dark series... There's six books in one and I'm still on the same book as last time :) but I've read a lot more of it since the week before last.
doing: dreaded laundry :p but good news is I'm almost done and then I'll be making some beef stew for dinner... I make amazing beef stew :p
thankful for: my wife and I to be able to start this new chapter in our lives in this amazing place and that we are all happy and healthy :) life is great!
watching: Admission with Paul Rudd and Tina Fey. This is the first time I've watched this movie and I like it, it's pretty good :)
loving: life! and I've heard tons of people talk about this stuff and I have finally caved in and tried it and it's amazing! it's the Trader Joe's Speculoos Crunchy Cookie Butter :) I really like it with pretzels! if you haven't tried it yet, go get some! :D
what have you guys been up to lately?

Beauty Review: Biore Deep Pore Charcoal Cleanser
Hi Everyone!
I did a post a week or two ago about a haul I did and had bought the Biore Deep Pore Charcoal Cleanser and I wanted to give you guys a quick review on it since I've been using it day and night for the past couple of weeks :)
Now, one of the things that I liked most about this product was that it was a dark greyish black color and I thought that was awesome! but can I just say that I love this stuff? When you lather the product up, it does change into a white consistency and I feel like it really cleans your skin. It feels fresh and tingles and I love that tingly clean feeling!
I also love the fact that this product does not dry my skin out at all which is a definite plus! and the fact that it's only like $5-6 a bottle. I found mine at Target.
I would definitely recommend if you have combo oily or combo dry skin. It works awesome! They have a self heating one minute charcoal mask that I am dying to try as well so I'll let you know when I find that stuff and all that good stuff :)
What do you use as a daily cleanser?

California Lovin' Day 3: Friday
Hi Everyone!
Friday was the last day that our friend was in town and she had a flight back to Las Vegas in the afternoon. My wife had her first day at her new job so we decided to do some shopping and check out The Grove. The Grove is one of the coolest places I have ever been. I got to check out the Madewell store that I've heard so much about and we had lunch in the farmer's market. I definitely can't wait for my wife and I to check out The Grove together. They still had some decorations up for the Chinese New Year so enjoy :)
I was definitely sad to see my friend go :( but we still had a ton of fun while she was here!

California Lovin' Day 2: Thursday
Hi Everyone!
I hope you guys had an amazing weekend :D I know I did and I feel so blessed to have spent our first weekend at our new home :)
I wanted to go ahead and share some pictures and such of what we did on Thursday. We really did a bunch of touristy things and had such a good time!
We started out the day going to the Griffith Observatory which was absolutely gorgeous! The best thing is that going there is free, you just have to pay for the planetarium or if they are doing any special shows. You could see the Hollywood sign from the observatory as well. They had a NASA station outside too which was really cool. On the grounds of the Griffith Observatory, there is a map of the planets and where they are located in reference to Earth.
One of the coolest things we saw at the observatory is the Tesla Coil Replica. It was really cool and you could feel the vibration of the energy when they turned it on. I feel like I got some pretty good pics :)
After the observatory we were pretty hungry so we headed off to the original Phillipe's French dip in Chinatown and it was amazing! The place was really cool on the inside as well except I forgot to take any pictures of the inside :( fail! lol :p if you do ever come to LA though, you have to try this place! the food is effing awesome! but just remember to bring cash because it's cash only! (they do have an ATM though)
Since we were in Chinatown, we decided to check it out after lunch to kind of walk off some of that food that was sitting in our tummies :p this place was so cute! and apparently there was a chinese restaurant that was in the movie Rush Hour.
We ended up going home for a few hours to relax and take a break before heading out to dinner. We made reservations to go to Duke's in Malibu and it was amazing. The views were gorgeous and the food was pretty awesome too :) Price point wasn't bad either :p We had calamari to start and then I had the shrimp and crab salad. For dessert we shared the hula pie which is what Duke's is known for and it was huge and delish!
Can I just tell you that Thursday was completely awesome but definitely tiring at the same time :) Have you guys been to California/LA? where do you like to go?
stay tuned! there's one more edition of California Lovin' day 3 coming tomorrow :)
until next time <3
